Attract Wild Birds and Enjoy Nature Up Close
Of all the creatures in nature, wild birds are possibly the easiest for us to watch and enjoy. They can be found almost anywhere – in the city, in the country, forests, deserts, plains, shorelines, on mountaintops and even in our own backyards.
Wild birds bring life to the sky with their magical flight and add music to the air with their delightful songs. Hearing them call to one another each morning reminds us that wherever we are we can still be close to nature. We are drawn to watching wild birds as they go about their busy lives whether at our feeders or in the wild.
As backyard birders we can have a positive effect on the birds that brighten our world. Creating even modest wild bird sanctuaries in our yard can support local bird populations. Bird watching is a very rewarding hobby providing us with endless hours of education, enjoyment and entertainment.
You can create a wild bird habitat no matter where you live. And the best part is you don’t have to spend a lot of money.
My goal is to provide practical information for backyard birders and bird watching in the field. I’ll talk about different types of bird feeders and the birds they attract, bird houses (nest boxes), wild bird identification, types of bird food and even how to make your own wild bird food. If you enjoy gardening, I’ll even discus how you can create a bird friendly yard by providing natural food, shelter and water.
I know you will find the information here useful for attracting more wild birds and gaining more enjoyment when watching them.
